Privacy policy

Shrempy is a delivery service in Banswara, Rajasthan, India, run by Yogesh Yadav under the registered name Shrempy ("Shrempy", "we"). Customers order from local restaurants and shops in the Shrempy app, the stores take orders in the Shrempy Partner app, and delivery riders carry them using the Shrempy Rider app. This policy covers all three apps. It explains what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask of us.

We do not sell personal data, we do not show advertising, and the apps contain no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.

What we collect from customers

Phone number, to sign you in with a one time code sent by SMS, and so the store or rider can reach you about an order.
Name, shown to the store and rider handling your order.
Delivery addresses you save: the address, flat or floor, landmark, the pin you place on the map, and the name and phone number of whoever receives the order (which may be someone other than you). The pin is used to measure the delivery distance and fee and to guide the rider.
Location, only when you tap "Use my current location" while adding an address, to move the map to where you are. The position itself is not sent to us or stored; only the pin you confirm is saved, as part of the address. The app never uses location in the background.
Orders: what you ordered, from which store, notes and instructions you add, prices, the bill, any tip and coupon, status and times.
Payments: you pay by UPI through Cashfree Payments. We receive the payment's status, reference and amount, and any refund. We never see your UPI PIN or bank account.
Reviews: the stars, tags and comment you give a store or rider.
Notifications: a push token for your phone, so we can send order updates. Promotional notifications are sent only if you turn them on in your profile, and you can turn them off at any time. On iPhone, if you allow a Live Activity, a token for it lets us update your lock screen while the order is on its way.

What we collect from riders and stores

Riders (Shrempy Rider)

Name, phone number, photo, vehicle details and rider code, entered by Shrempy when you join.
Images of documents you give us to join (such as a driving licence), with their type, status and expiry. We do not store the document numbers.
Bank account details, so we know where to send your pay.
Location during a delivery only: from when you accept an order until it is delivered, released or cancelled, or you go off duty, shown by an ongoing notification. The customer sees your position on a map while their order is on its way. The route is deleted seven days after the order closes. Between orders the app does not use location.
Deliveries, pay and tips, and ratings from customers.

Stores (Shrempy Partner)

Names and phone numbers of the owner and staff who sign in.
The store's details, menu, hours, licence (FSSAI, or a retail drug licence for a chemist) and bank account, and its orders, settlements and payouts.

How it is used, and who sees it

To take, prepare, deliver and support orders. The store sees the customer's name, the items and notes. A rider offered an order sees only the area; the rider carrying it sees the full address and, once the food is picked up, the receiver's phone number.
To take payments, give refunds, pay stores and riders, and keep accounts and tax records.
To send order updates, and promotions only to those who have turned them on.
To prevent fraud and misuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Service providers

These companies process data for us, only to provide their service:

Supabase: our database, sign in and file storage, hosted in Mumbai, India.
Cashfree Payments: UPI payments and refunds. Your name and phone number are sent with each payment.
MSG91: sends the one time sign in codes by SMS.
Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service: deliver notifications.
Google Maps Platform: shows maps and turns a pin into a written address.
Vercel: hosts Shrempy's operations dashboard and this page.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to a government authority or court.

How long we keep it

Your account, addresses and reviews: until you delete your account.
Orders and payment records: eight years from the order, for tax and accounts. When an account is deleted they are kept without the name, phone number or address.
A rider's route for an order: seven days after the order closes.
Push tokens: until you sign out, the token stops working, or the account is deleted.

Deleting your account

In the Shrempy app, open Profile and tap Delete account. You can also ask by email. See how to delete your account for what is deleted and what is kept.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, to correct or complete it, or to erase it; you may withdraw consent you gave (for example, turn off promotions or the location permission); and you may nominate someone to act for you. Email shrempyinfra@gmail.com from or about the phone number on your account. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Data travels encrypted between the apps and our servers. Access is limited by role: each customer, store and rider can reach only what they need for their own orders, enforced by the database itself.

Children

Shrempy is not meant for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you in the app first.
